Today I wanted to admit that I study marketing. Yes, I've been making a full-time living for a long time now.

But since quitting my day job back in 2006, I've kept up my studies, to ensure that I keep earning a good income now that I rely on the internet for everything.

AND to ensure that I continue to serve my coaching members to the best of my ability, by keeping up to date with any and every new thing that can help.

Well, I've recently discovered that what was once an industry that could do or say just about anything, has now completely changed due to online activists.

From a time when smoking by women was illegal in many cities - So the tobacco industry placed 12 models in an Easter Parade of suffragists in New York.

To Encourage women to believe it gave them power and independence. (It Worked, look up The 1929 "Torches of Freedom")

I'm sure that would be OFFENSIVE these days.

In today's times, when a supermarket's advertising has been forced to be removed.

The Advertising Standards Authority has agreed with the complainers, that words ALLUDING to swear words, caused offence!

Saying they had better value, and the price rises by some others were:

"What a load of shiitake"
"They're taking the pistachio"
"For fettuccine's sake"

Tesco Mobile initially defended its advertising on the grounds that it had not used any offensive words or imagery.

But the ASA said the words they were alluding to were "so likely to offend that they should not generally be used or alluded to in advertising, regardless of whether they were used in a tongue-in-cheek manner".

And then very recently, US Female artist Lizzo had to change a song lyric overnight due to a Twitter storm backlash against her.

Because the word has a different meaning she was not aware of in a different country.

As in she is USA based, and the UK has a different meaning for the word she used!

So offence was caused when she wasn't even aware!

Honestly, a lot of the changes are very welcome, as some things genuinely do cause offence, but where do we draw the line?

So my big question that I'm trying to research is...

Can I actually show people just how many folks have now found success, generated millions of dollars, and in a lot of cases, found new online careers thanks to following my coaching program?

Or will that Offend people who have followed other coaching programs and FAILED?

(Or even offend other coaches who care and charge 5 - 10 times my new pricing, and don't even include product promotion, or the one on one calls that mine does?)
